About our CBD Products

Lu & Di’s CBD dog treats are 100% organic, locally sourced, and small batch made.

Each treat contains 2mg or 4mg of CBD infused into the treat. Our CBD used is hemp based, locally sourced and grown, as well as 100% organic, and contains ONLY CBD. Currently there are 4 different flavour options: apple, pumpkin, blueberry, and beef lung. Our treats are dehydrated to perfection and so that they have that crunch value your dog loves and looks forward to. Desired effects should take place in 45-60 minutes. You cannot overdose your dog on CBD, so you can gradually increase your dog’s dosage should you not see the desired results after an hour or so.

Each bag has 25-30 treats inside, our bags are resealable, and should be kept out of direct sunlight. Pantry is best, but our treats can also be frozen if you’d prefer. You can expect treats to last and stay fresh for up to a year if stored and sealed properly!

What are the benefits of CBD?

Arthritis and Pain: Several studies have looked at CBD’s effectiveness against arthritic pain, all with positive results. A Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine study found dogs given CBD at a rate of 4.4 mg per pound twice daily for a month showed significant improvement in pain relief and quality of life. Lead investigator Joe Wakshlag, DVM, Ph.D., DACVN, said that some dogs were initially so decrepit that their owners considered euthanasia, but that after just days on CBD they were trotting around and even climbing stairs (American Kennel Club).

Itchiness: Two recent double-blind, placebo-controlled dog studies report CBD significantly reduces itchiness. An Australian study conducted by the company CannPal found their CBD product reduced itchiness, inflammation, and skin lesions by 51 percent after eight weeks of treatment (American Kennel Club).

Cancer: Cannabinoids are reported to induce cancer-cell death and prevent metastasis. In a Cornell University study of CBD, dogs, and cancer, researchers found CBD along with a standard chemotherapy drug reduced cancer-cell proliferation in vitro more than the chemotherapy drug alone. Anecdotal reports from veterinarians have claimed CBD shrunk cancer cells or put dogs into remission (American Kennel Club).

Behavior: Anxiety, and especially noise reactivity, is a major reason dog owners seek help using CBD. CBD can also help to reduce separation anxiety, car ride anxiety, firework anxiety, and overstimulation. CBD works with a dog’s central nervous system to calm it down, while still allowing the dog to function as normal, in a calm and relaxed state (Pets WebMD).

Dosing Chart

The dosing guidelines are obtained directly from the American Kennel Association (AKA). These guidelines are recommended for dogs who use CBD for terminal and chronic issues. We always recommend starting one weight category lower than the chart and waiting 45-60 minutes to see what effects you do or do not notice before increasing your dosage. Each dog is different and some see great results on less CBD, and others need a bit more depending on their central nervous system and how their body decides to process the CBD. Please reach out if you have any questions about dosing.
